Flexibility and Quality

We are able to fly and manoeuvre where full size planes/helicopters and small blimps/balloons simply cannot. We are able to hover (remain stationary) in mid-air anywhere up to 400ft above ground level. We are able to shoot in high winds, up to 45km/hr. On-site setup shooting time and pack-up could take as little as 20mins! We provide quick turn around time; we get your images to you fast! We use high quality digital imaging cameras for our shooting.

Construction/Civil Projects:

Aerial surveys of construction projects offer project managers and investors unique views of the construction site and of the project as a whole. If conducted regularly over the course of the project, photographic timelines can be printed. These are very effective not only from an analysis perspective but also for marketing and promotional material.Civil projects are undermined by huge potential liability claims. It is imperative that companies utilise the best means at their disposal to continuously monitor current and past projects. Imagine the advantage of utilising an airborne video graphic platform when identifying areas of discolouration associated with tailings wall seepage. In the same way, collieries can make use of the technology when monitoring areas for acid mine drainage.

Environmental Analysis and Impacts

Dependant on the nature of the environmental subject, it is highly feasible to utilise aerial video or aerial photography to compliment analysis work and impact studies. The nature of the site or impact could be such that it is difficult or dangerous to reach; perhaps the area under investigation is water or swamp bound because the area is over-vegetated, or because of risk (dangerous chemical spills, toxic fumes, etc.) in which case an airborne perspective would be invaluable. In other cases it might be advantageous to simply view the “overall picture” from directly overhead. This is particularly pertinent when it comes to hydrocarbon spills, stream pollution and vegetation analysis where discolouration is potentially indicative of either the type or the location of the source. Vegetative changes over time are also far easier to determine when complimented with aerial photographs.

News Coverage

In the fast-moving world of news reporting, any advantage in quality or delivery is always welcome. With the same turn around time as regular reporters and photographers, we can get our team to the location of breaking stories and capture images and videos from above the site. This has the same effect but at a fraction of the cost of full-size news helicopters. This is subject to the site being suitable from a safety aspect. Obvious news candidates are environmental impacts, natural disasters or any news item that has an adjacent open piece of land suitable to the helicopter.

Product Promotion

Promotion and advertising has huge scope for low-level aerial photography. Machinery, earth-moving equipment, mining equipment, agricultural, industrial, as a matter of fact any mechanical items (and more) that are used outside could be effectively promoted through the use of airborne media. Promotion of resorts, hotels, housing developments, real estate and marinas all make use of aerial photography. Photo Higher brings the cost of this type of promotion to an affordable level.

 

Golf Courses

Photo Higher provides high quality aerial photographs of signature holes and clubhouses. Pictures are poster quality and can be framed for hanging in reception areas, club bars, half-way-houses, dining areas, etc.

It is also possible to obtain “tee-to-green” video flyovers of each hole on the course. These can be compiled onto DVD or posted on a course website.

Alpine Housing/Hotel Promotion

Typically, outside of using full-scale helicopters, it is very difficult to get representative photographs of houses or hotels built onto steep mountainsides. The photos are normally taken whilst standing “above” the house, “below” the house, or from the driveway, with none of the photos effectively representing the best qualities of the establishment. With this technology we can easily take off from the driveway or any patch of lawn. We can fly out 100m or so and take photographs from the best possible position to best reflect/promote the building

Disaster Sites

As the platform is small and manoeuvrable it is very effective in cataloguing disasters, be they natural or man-made. It can even be used to help rescue teams locate people. We have the ability to mount thermal imaging cameras onto the helicopter, thereby aiding rescue services by locating victims through the heat of their bodies.
